Description of Work:
This person serves as the administrative coordinator to Peaceful Means, a large-scale Lakota-led project to end sexual violence on Pine Ridge funded by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The person in this position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the office and extended stay housing (located at Wakpamni CAP in Pine Ridge, SD). Specific duties include: Maintain a safe, secure, positive, and professional atmosphere and oversee effective management & support in the areas of e-mail, phone, mail, office supplies, office keys, housing maintenance, vehicle maintenance and mileage logs, and door access. The person in this position will also provide assistance in the management of social media, supervising 2-4 on-call cook/cleaners, scheduling housekeeping and cooking, paying all bills, ordering supplies, shopping for feeds/events, assisting with approving staff time, planning and coordinating events, coordinating visitors schedules, and other administrative duties as needed.

Associate's degree and three (3) years' relevant administrative and office support experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Proficiency with word processing, database and spreadsheet computer software programs, social media, and web tools necessary. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to train, delegate and supervise others. Strong interpersonal, customer service, communication and collaboration skills required. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, provide leadership, work independently and with a diverse population necessary. Proofreading skills essential. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project management experience strongly preferred. Experience working within tribal and/or university systems preferred.
Posted Salary: $21.50/hr minimum
