Qualifications include a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree, residency training in small animal emergency and critical care medicine and certification by the American College of Veterinary Emergency Critical Care (ACVECC) or the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ECVECC). Candidates qualified to take the ACVECC or ECVECC certification examination are encouraged to apply. Eligibility for faculty licensure in Oklahoma is required.

If you have a passion for teaching while saving lives this is the position for you. You would be joining a team that includes 1 ACVIM SAIM diplomate, 2 ACVECC diplomates, a 5 DVM primary care service, a shelter medicine & surgery service, a 4 DVM small animal ER service, and skilled RVTs and nurse assistants. You will have the opportunity to participate in an innovative teaching program supported by an enthusiastic group of educational professionals from our Office of Curriculum and Educational Support as well as participate in collaborative research/scholarship activities if desired . Development of an internship or residency program will be supported.

This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package, including 4 weeks of vacation, start-up funding for research endeavors if desired , and an equipped office. Funding support for professional development is provided. Ability to do up to 4 weeks of consultation work outside our referral area is also included. Professional rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience, including consideration of previous accomplishments towards future promotions.
