Job Description
Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 per year year. You are eligible for a Short-Term Incentive with the target at 7.5% of your annual earnings; terms and conditions apply Clinical Science Liaison- Remote, USA The primary role of the Clinical Science Liaison is to provide real-time clinical support and interpretation of results to Ambry’s clients. The clinical science liaison will remain up to date regarding Ambry’s clinical offerings and technology and be subject matter experts for clients calling in to discuss testing results, ordering options, or technology across all of Ambry’s product offerings. In addition, the clinical science liaison will help support exome medical necessity reviews and appeals.
Essential Functions: - Provide real-time clinical and technical support to providers calling into Ambry’s main line
- Provide complex clinical judgement in determining medical necessity as needed for exome tests
- Recognize areas for improvement based on client interactions and voice them to management, including new test options, training needs, new gene inclusions/exclusions, process improvements, marketing needs, educational ideas, and overall improvement to the Ambry brand
- Provide backup clinical and technical support to providers and Account Executives (AE) when the local Genomic Science Liaison (GSL) is unavailable
- Identify the need for resources for the CSL and GSL teams and help in the creation of these resources
- Support Ambry’s international and potential other business development relationships through answering provider case level clinical and technical questions
- Provide clinical and technical support and education to certain Ambry internal teams, such as Clinical Assistants and Clinical Data Curators
- Drafting denial appeal letters for insurance-denied tests
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Master’s degree or higher in genetic counseling, human genetics, or other healthcare field
- Strong understanding of the current state of clinical genetic testing, the advantages and limitations of genetic testing, and a desire to educate community providers about the utility of clinical genetics
- Robust organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of various lab techniques, such as next generation sequencing, Sanger sequencing, exome sequencing, etc.
- Skilled collaboration skills for working with both clients and internal teams
- Ability to work well independently and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred: - Master’s in Genetic Counseling
- Board certification in Genetic Counseling

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
