Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for English Voice Writers of all experience levels for contract work to provide real-time captions for live events. In this role, you will re-speak into our web-based software to create accurate, high-quality captions delivered instantly to live-streamed events, ensuring accessibility for all attendees. You will be responsible for multitasking between listening, speaking, and typing, while maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the event.

Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time captioning for live-streamed events.
  
• Re-speak audio content into web-based software for caption generation.
  
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in captions.
  
• Work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  
• Adhere to project guidelines and instructions.
  

Requirements

• Access to a headset, computer, and stable internet connection.
  
• Excellent verbal communication, listening skills, and clear, consistent voice.
  
• Ability to sit or stand for up to 90 minutes during events.
  
• Strong multitasking abilities (listening, speaking, typing).
  
• Independent work ethic with attention to detail.
  
• Must complete a background check prior to employment.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in voice writing or transcription (not mandatory).
  
• Comfortable using web-based software for live captioning.
