The Section of Palliative Care in the Department of Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, seeks an energetic, team-focused, palliative medicine physician to join our interdisciplinary Palliative Care Service. Our team is comprised of Palliative Medicine physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, coordinating RNs, chaplains, social workers, and healing arts. Qualifications

• Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO)
• Board-certified/board-eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is required. The ideal candidate will have completed fellowship training in palliative care, and will have at least 2+ years of post-fellowship experience practicing in palliative medicine. For this position, completion of residency training and board certification is preferred in one of the following specialties: internal medicine, medicine/pediatrics, family medicine, or emergency medicine.
• Eligible for NH License and DEA

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient consultation, supervision of students and residents.
  • This position will function primarily in the outpatient setting but those clinicians interested in both inpatient and outpatient practice will also be considered

• Supervision of palliative care fellows and internal medicine residents
  • All attending physicians will carry a 10% teaching responsibility and will receive an academic appointment commensurate with experience

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Current or eligible for New Hampshire Medical License
• Current or eligible for ABMS Board Certification (to be obtained within 5 years)
• Active hospital staff membership
