Job Description

Lead Sales Generator

Sansom Staffing has partnererd with a global manufacturer of battery powered engineered solutions for material handling equipment  for an Inside Sales Representative in Shakopee, MN.   Our client prides themselves on making the world safer with innovative designs, purpose built to reduce workplace injuries.

In this position, you would identify opportunities in the assigned territory to generate new business, reactivate dormant accounts, and grow existing customer business.  With customers like Boeing, Caterpillar, John Deere, Merck, USAF, 3M, and GM to name a few, there is no shortage of new and exciting projects to work on!

 

Work Hours and Benefits:

Hours:  8 am to 4 pm M-F, flexible hours after 3 to 6 months

Salary:   55k-60k with commission structure

Job Responsibilities:

  • Become proficient in the product category and demonstrate a knowledge of the specific industries
  • Learn the ins and outs of assigned territory
  • Develop great relationships with the reps in assigned territory
  • Travel and participate in trade shows
  • Ability to listen communicate, and sell value through differentiation
  • Gather & pass on competitive market intelligence
  • Call and connect with new and/or existing customers, dealers, and distributors. Guide customers through exceptional service and product knowledge.
  • Acquire new customers and convert existing customers through prospecting in assigned territories, outbound marketing campaigns, and referrals
  • Engage customers and present products at industry events and shows
  • Research potential customers, current customers, and markets for potential opportunities
  • Identify leads/track jobs in CRM
  • Keep comprehensive notes in the CRM

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field desired but not required
  • 3 – years of Sales Experience and/or Customer Service Experience
  • Eager, ready to learn and open to being coached
