As a Farmers Insurance Agent, you're a business owner with the full support of our District Office team behind you. Your determination and energy will set the boundaries of your earning potential throughout your career. Many of our 3-5 year agents are earning $100,000-$250,000. Our district team will provide you with training and support while you learn sales, marketing, and customer service strategies. We train you on our list of products and services and help ensure your success in every facet of your business. Responsibilities This opportunity is designed for individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset and who have:

  • A desire to build and grow their own successful agency
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Background in sales or marketing
  • A background in entrepreneurial growth
  • The ability to work collaboratively with staff and learn from a mentor district manager/business coach
  • Effective time-management skills and self-reliance to accomplish conversion goals
  • Able to identify business opportunities and prioritize tasks; Effective leadership and management skills
  • The ability to communicate the value of Farmers' product offerings
  • Keep an accurate log of sales databases, client reports, bookkeeping records, and more to share progress toward goals with key stakeholders
  • Commit to remaining educated about the various types of insurance, insurance-related protocols, and policy changes to ensure fulfillment of program requirements and ensure our customers are satisfied
  • Collaborate with policyholders to develop insurance risk management and other profiles that specify the best policies for their evolving insurance needs
  • Conduct meetings with new and potential clients and carefully listen to their individual circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs
  • Implement marketing strategies including, but not limited, to cold calling and networking to connect with potential clients while simultaneously maintaining a portfolio of current clients
  • Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders
  • Basic understanding of sales lead or accounting software is helpful
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required
  • Valid insurance license required or candidates must be willing to get licensed
  • High school diploma necessary; college degree a bonus
