Owner Operator Driver:
Mickey Poole Trucking is a family owned and operated manufacturing company that specializes in the manufacturing of industrial plastic parts. Position Summary:
The Owner Operator Driver is responsible for driving our company vehicle to and from customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner while completing pre-trip inspection's and complying with company safety rules and procedures.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Safely operate a manual transmission vehicle in a variety of weather conditions and across a variety of roads including wet, smooth, gravel, and mountain roads.
  • Perform pre-trip inspection of the vehicle including tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) check, security checks, and proper documentation of all installed equipment and vehicle components.
  • Load/unload equipment onto and off of the vehicle using hand tools.
  • Operate various equipment such as liftgate, tool cart, forklift or other means to load/unload materials or equipment onto/off of the vehicle.
  • Comply with company safety rules and regulations including but not limited to wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs for the vehicle to the appropriate technician or supervisor.
  • Maintain records of scheduled jobs, customer interactions, issues noted and etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience of (3) three to (5) five years with a combination of (2) three to (4) six years with a combination of (1) two years with a commercial vehicle and experience working with electrical parts and/or tools.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as well as communicate clearly with others using oral reading, written communication and hearing skills.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions in person and over phone is required. Ability to follow direction from someone outside of the position level expected to perform the job assignment is required.

Job Type: Contract
Salary: $5,796.00 - $6,398.00 per week
