We are looking for a Social Security Administration Investigator to work in Washington DC supporting our client.

Salary: $95000 $115000

Clearance: US Citizen

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Investigator with 57 years of experience in investigations to join their team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of SSA programs by conducting thorough and comprehensive investigations into allegations of fraud waste and abuse. This position requires exceptional analytical abilities attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the mission of the SSA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex investigations into allegations of fraud waste abuse and other violations related to Social Security programs and benefits.
  • Gather analyze and evaluate evidence from various sources including interviews surveillance records and databases.
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports including findings conclusions and recommendations for corrective actions or prosecutions.
  • Collaborate with other federal state and local law enforcement agencies to facilitate the exchange of information and coordinate joint investigations.
  • Testify in administrative and criminal proceedings as an expert witness regarding investigative findings and methods.
  • Develop and implement investigative strategies and techniques to effectively address emerging threats and trends in fraud and abuse.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all investigative activities and ensure compliance with legal standards and SSA policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to SSA staff and stakeholders on fraud prevention and detection techniques.
  • Stay current with developments in investigative practices legal requirements and SSA program regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Criminal Justice Law Public Administration or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications preferred
  • 57 years of experience in conducting investigations preferably with experience in the Social Security Administration or government
  • Strong knowledge of investigative techniques principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in using investigative tools databases and software.
  • High level of integrity professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Social Security programs and regulations is highly desirable.
